What is a squeeze detector?
A squeeze detector scores how tight a coin’s range has squeezed.
Aftershocks Coil does it 0 to 100, every hour. 90 and up means coiling.

Crabbing and chop
Sideways price has plenty of names. Crabbing. Chop. Going nowhere.
They all describe one picture: the coin keeps trading inside a narrow range, hour after hour.
A squeeze detector puts a number on that picture, so you do not have to judge it by eye.
Bollinger squeeze and volatility squeeze
Traders call the tight part a Bollinger squeeze, or a volatility squeeze.
Aftershocks Coil is built on Bollinger bandwidth: how wide the band around the last 20 hourly closes sits.
That width is ranked against the last five days. 100 means no other hour in those five days was narrower.
90 and up is what we call coiling.
Not a short squeeze
A short squeeze is about traders who borrowed a coin and have to return it.
A squeeze detector is about the range only. The two measure different things.
Similar idea to a TTM Squeeze
Chart people may know the TTM Squeeze. The idea is close: it watches the quiet part of a range.
Aftershocks Coil scores that quiet from 0 to 100, on closed hourly candles.
TTM Squeeze belongs to someone else. Aftershocks is independent and not connected with it.

Questions.
What is a squeeze detector?
A squeeze detector scores how tight a coin’s range has squeezed. Aftershocks Coil does it 0 to 100, every hour. 90 and up means coiling.
Is a squeeze detector the same as a short squeeze?
No. A short squeeze is about traders who borrowed a coin and have to return it. A squeeze detector measures the price range, and nothing else.
What is a Bollinger squeeze?
It is what traders call the tight part of a range, when the Bollinger band around price goes narrow. Aftershocks Coil is built on that band’s width, ranked against the last five days.
Does 90 mean a big move is coming?
No. It says the range has been tight. It says nothing about what comes next.
What does Aftershocks Coil cost?
Nothing. It is free on TradingView, on any plan. Set the chart to 1 hour.
